1945-2024
James Henry Brown of East End, Arkansas was born December 10, 1945 in Benton the son of the late Cecil and Polly Ables Brown. He was a member of Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God, where he was a true servant to his Lord. He enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music, serving his Lord faithfully, and being a witness for the Lord. He also dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Brown died Monday, November 18, 2024 at his home in East End at the age of 78.
In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael James “Mike” Brown; sisters, Joyce Ann Brown, Shirley Wilson, and Cecilia Brown.
Survivors: wife, caregiver and best friend, Janice Luckey Brown of East End; daughters, Missy Breshears (Terry) of Ava, MO, Amy Rhoads (Kevin) of Redfield, daughter-in-law, Leslie Brown of East End; brothers, Roy Brown (Shirley), CJ Brown (Sandy), Dean Brown (Teresa); sister, Lena Rhoads; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members, Church family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Jacky Jones and Bro. John Tracy officiating. Visitation is prior to the service from 1:00 until service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in East End.
Pallbearers are Gene Brown, Robert Griffin, Larry Hitt, Lance Walker, David Sanford, and Jack Gault. Honorary pallbearer is Clay Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Cemetery, 20621 Arch Street, Little Rock, AR 72206.
