1938-2024
Gladys Rainwater Garner, age 86, passed away November 15, 2024. She was born April 11, 1938 in Mulberry, Arkansas to the late Rev. William Alvin Rainwater and Flora Mae Freeman. She was a member of the First Assembly of God church. Gladys was a dedicated home maker who loved to quilt, sew, bake, spend time with her family, raise a garden with her husband and can the fruits of their labors.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Bobby Dean Garner, Sisters; Loretta Kendal, Dorothy Medlock, Ruthie Blackwell, Emmie Varnell, Brothers; Raymond Rainwater and Pete Rainwater.
She is survived by her Sons; Johnny Garner and Bobby Garner of McGehee, AR; Daughter Polly (Dwight) Smith of McGehee, AR; Sisters Oline Dulaney, Betty Garner, Lillian Fleetwood; five grandchildren and seventeen great- grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 10:30-11:00 am, at the McGehee Cemetery Pavilion in McGehee, Arkansas with a
Graveside Service following at 11:00 am with Bro. Rick Harvey officiating. Pallbearers are Johnny Wayne Rowland, George Garner, Jeremy Garner, Finis Bittle, Layton Garner and Doyle Avery.
