1944-2024
Emily Louise Hill-McCoy was born October 10, 1944, in Almyra, Arkansas, to Emma M. Coker-Hill and Thomas J. Hill, Sr. She was one of eleven children born to this union. In 1952, she moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas. Louise graduated from Holman High School, Class of 1963. She spent two years at Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Arkansas before transferring to AM&N College, now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a historically Black university (HBCU).
Louise accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Allen Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart by Reverend Taylor.
Louise married Paul McCoy, Sr., and to this union were born three children, Yolanda McCoy, Michael McCoy, and Paul McCoy, Jr.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Emma Hill, and brothers Willie, Thomas Jr., John, Hubert, Otis and Roy Earls.
Emily leaves to cherish her memories her husband Paul McCoy, Sr.; one daughter Yolanda McCoy; two sons Michael and Paul McCoy, Jr.; one grandson Bryson McCoy; one great- grandchild Kani McCoy; five brothers Paul Hill (Kathlene), Kenneth Hill (Shirley), Freddie Hill (Theresa), Curtis Hill, Sr. (Debra), and Gerry Hill (Agnus); one sister JoAnn Loudermilk (Larry); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
