Mrs. Donnie Jasper-Holley, 97 of Little Rock, AR passed away Friday, October 18, 2024.

Donnie Manett (Jasper) Holley was born Friday July 15, 1927, to Luther and Frances Ivee Jasper in Lincoln County, AR. She graduated from Merrill High School in Pine Bluff, AR in 1945, and begun her post-secondary education at Arkansas AM & N College and earned a degree in elementary education.  Her teaching career begun at Wells Bayou Avery School and later Reed Elementary School in the Dumas Public School District where she remained until her retirement in 1987.

Following her retirement, Donnie volunteered and became a pillar in the civic and church communities where she served on several boards and committees: including singing in the choir, playing the piano, serving as Director of Christian Education, volunteering with the Public Library Council, the Delta Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Board, the Literacy Council, and the Dumas Adult Education Program.

Donnie married Walter Holley on September 14,1950 and remained faithful for 73 years until his demise.

Donnie transitioned from this life on Friday October 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Walter Holley, her only son, Walter D. Holley, two grandsons, Detrus Holley-Johnson, and Craig Mitchell, her parents Luther and Frances Jasper, one sister, Lonnie Jasper (Adams) Wade, and two brothers, Cleotis, and Delano Jasper.

She is survived by her five daughters; Patricia (Clint) Lacy of Little Rock, Eunice (Philemon II) Mitchell of Mattawan, MI, Schula (Abraham) Gomez Rivas, Agnes Higgins, and Susan (Alonzo, Sr.) Williams, all of Little Rock, AR. She also leaves to cherish her memory; 6 brothers, 5 sisters, twenty-four grandchildren, sixty-one great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She loved and was loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024 at the Dumas Community Center by Minister Edward Wade..
