Donald Doyle Wood, 83 of Monticello passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at The Woods of Monticello. He was born October 6, 1940 in Woodward, OK to the late Doyle and Helen Purdy Wood. Donald was a member of Tabernacle of Faith in Monticello, where he taught Sunday school, and was retired maintenance for Wal Mart, where he was known for playing Santa Clause during the holidays. Donald was always seen with a smile. He was most famous for his jokes and could make anyone laugh. He was a train enthusiast, loved fishing, and loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Mary Wood; two daughters, Christina (Cairo) Wood and Kimberly Wood, all of Monticello; and two grandchildren, Averi Bell and Princetyn Bailey.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
