1962-2024
Charlie Lee Winborne of Prattsville, Arkansas was born December 12, 1962 at Gretna, Louisiana, the son of the late Denheart Winborne, Sr. and Anna Lee D’Angelo Winborne. If nothing else was said about Charlie, the one thing he would want everyone to know is that he was a blood-bought, born again, Child of God! He knew Jesus as his personal Savior and his question to anyone reading this would be “Do you know My Jesus?”. He was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville. Most of his working life was spent in Law Enforcement. Among the agencies he served with, was the Minden, Louisiana Police Department, Louisiana State Police, Sheridan, Arkansas Police Department, Group 6 Narcotics Division. He was also a master electrician. He enjoyed deer hunting and was a professional Archer. He was a Gunsmoke expert, having watched every episode many times. Charlie didn’t just enjoy his family….He cherished them. His smile was as big as his heart, and that made him a friend to everyone who knew him. He rooted for the underdog, and had a heart for encouragement.
Though we wanted to keep him longer, Charlie was so ready to see Jesus. His Prayer was answered Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his home, at the age of 61. Waiting to see him when he got HOME to Heaven were his parents and his brother, Denheart Winborne, Jr.
Survivors include his constant companion and very best friend in the world, his wife of 27 years, Tina Harris Winborne of Prattsville; He didn’t have children and step-children, they were all HIS kids. Sons, Chad Winborne and wife Erin of Ruston, Louisiana, who gave Charlie his precious granddaughter Millie Ann, Michael Wallace of Conway, Zachrey Wallace and wife Lauren of Conway; daughters, Lori Winborne and Traci Winborne, both of Colorado; sisters, Sherry Brewer (Ed) of Florida, Dana Nichol (Nick) of Florida; sister-in-law, Debra Winborne-Seidome (Vincent); Father and Mother-in-law, Derrell and Debbie Harris of Sheridan; brother-in-law, Wayne Harris (Lindsey) of Sheridan; sister-in-law, Angela Sullivan (William).
