Charles Lee Jasper, 68
1956-2024

Mr. Charles Lee Jasper was born on April 29, 1956, to the late Willie “Work” Jasper and Lille Bell Flemister. He peacefully transitioned from this life on October 4, 2024, at his residence.

He received his education from Gould High School and was a member of the Gould High School Class of 1975.   After graduation, Charles enlisted into the United States Army and served until 1979.

Charles was known to be quite the comedian and loved making people laugh.  He was fun to be around and had a kind spirit often helping any and everyone in the community he could.  He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.  You would often find him sitting in front of the television watching the Arkansas Razorbacks.  He was an extremely hug “Hog Fan”.

Charles confessed a hope in Christ early in age and served as a deacon at Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry Rogers until his health failed him.

Preceding him in eternal rest: A Daughter: Rolando LaShon Johnson, Two Grandson, DeAndre and Andre Jasper, His Parents: Willie and Lillie Bell Jasper, Three Brothers: Albert Tatum, Arthur Lee Jasper and Felton Tatum Sr., Two Sisters: Zola Bee Jasper and Willie Bee Jasper

He Leaves to Cherish His Memories:

Two Sons: Charles L. Jasper of Atlanta, GA; Reggie White of Pine Bluff, AR.

One Daughter: Kawanna Jasper of Conway, AR.

Three Grandsons: One Granddaughter and Four Great-Granddaughters

One Brother: Ricky Jasper of Watson Chapel, AR

Two Sisters:  Avistine Rogers of Crossett, AR and Flossie Carter of Gould, AR

A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church Gould, AR by Pastor Larry Rogers. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery Meroney, AR. His body will lie in-state from 9:15 a.m. until service time.
