Nirvana is prepping a 30th anniversary Nevermind reissue, according to Krist Novoselic.

The bassist revealed the news in an interview with Uncut magazine, though he’s keeping most of the details about the package close to the vest.

“We’re still putting it together,” Novoselic said. “What’s on it? You’ll see, I don’t want to spoil the surprise!”

“The anniversary is really for the fans and what the album means to them,” he added. “If it helps people make some sense of the world, that’s great. You have to figure it out for yourself, though.”

Nevermind was released September 24, 1991. In addition to making global superstars out of Kurt Cobain and company, the RIAA Diamond-certified record is credited for launching the grunge movement of the early ’90s.

A 20th anniversary edition of Nevermind was released in 2011.
