In February, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason‘s announced that his current band, Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, was postponing all of its upcoming 2021 U.K. tour dates until next year, and now most of the group’s shows that were lined up in mainland Europe this year have been pushed back to 2022 as well.

The new European dates will run from a May 14 concert in Randers, Denmark, through a June 26 show in Turin, Italy.

While 21 of the mainland Europe concerts have been rescheduled, Mason and company point out in a Facebook message, “We’re still working on moving a few of the shows that were due to be performed this year, and we’ll let you know about those as soon as we can.”

As for the U.K. trek, it’s plotted out from an April 16 concert in York through a May 11 performance in Croyden.

The outing has been dubbed the Echoes Tour, named after the epic 23-minute Pink Floyd song that took up the entire second side of the 1971 Meddle album.

Speaking with ABC Audio last year, Mason explained that he’d love The Saucerful of Secrets to perform “Echoes” as a tribute to late Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright, who shared lead vocals with Floyd guitarist David Gilmour on the original track.

Mason also reported this his band was planning to expand its repertoire for its next tour.

“What we’d really like to do is put enough new songs in and do a longer show,” he said, “and…probably drop the idea of a support band.”

As previously reported, Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets performs material from Pink Floyd recordings prior to the classic 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon.
