With the King Cotton Holiday Basketball tournament set to begin Monday at the Pine Bluff Convention Center, new policies have been implemented to ensure the safety of those attending.

On Thursday, Joseph McCorvey, executive director of the Convention Center appeared on the Oldies 101.3 morning show and talked about those new policies.

McCorvey said the convention center has also installed metal detectors and everyone will be required to go through them as they enter the building.

With big crowds expected, McCorvey was also asked about parking and said this.

Security will also be patrolling the parking lots around the convention center, he said.
