New Leadership Era Begins for Arkansas National Guard

A change of command has taken place for the Arkansas Army National Guard.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders delivered remarks as Colonel Olen Chad Bridges assumed the role of the 55th Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard, following the departure of Major General Jonathan Stubbs.

Bridges has been part of the Guard since 1991 and was commissioned in 1998. He took command of the 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in 2021. Prior to this, he had three assignments at the Pentagon.

Colonel Bridges has been a full-time officer with the Guard since 2006 and resides in Conway with his wife and two children.

Major General Stubbs was nominated by President Joe Biden in July to become the next director of the Army National Guard.
