New charges have been filed against a former Dermott Police Officer who was already facing felony witness bribery allegations.

According to the McGehee Dermott Times-News, Lee Van Brown, 56, was charged with felony terroristic threatening stemming from an incident that allegedly occurred in October.

The newspaper reported that Brown threatened to cause “death or serious physical injury” to an unnamed woman.

Last month, Brown was charged with witness bribery and abuse of office and his brother, Lee Edward Brown, 49, was charged with tampering with evidence.

Brown is scheduled to appear in Chicot County Circuit Court June 14.
