A recent grant to the City of Monticello will be used to improve the Monticello Sports Complex.
According to the Advance Monticellonian newspaper, Monticello received $324,000 which will be spent creating sidewalks to connect the fields on the east side of the complex to fields on the west side.
A sidewalk access point near the Miracle League field will allow families to access the parking lot and fields on the east side quicker.
