Monticello Mayor Paige Chase has announced she will not seek another term.
According to the Advance Monticellonian newspaper, Chase had been Mayor since 2018 when she defeated Joe Rogers. She was sworn in Jan. 1, 2019.
In a statement to the newspaper, Chase said “I would not leave this office without making sure it was in good hands. I have greatly enjoyed my time in this office and I am proud of the things we have accomplished. I am proud to have worked with the best and been witness to their professionalism.”
