According to Monticello Police Chief Jason Akers, a Monticello man is facing burglary, theft, and drug paraphernalia charges after a search warrant were executed at his residence where stolen property from a recent theft was recovered.

Paul Jason Fortenberry, age 45, was arrested last Sunday (July 31) by MPD after an investigation into a recent report of theft of furniture and household items was reported.

Detectives and MPD’s Canine Unit arrested Fortenberry at the scene of the search warrant execution and charged him with Residential Burglary, Theft of Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Paul Jason Fortenberry’s bond is $10,000 and still in the Drew County Detention Facility.
