A $2,500 bond was set Friday for a Monticello man accused of stealing bank deposits from a business in White Hall.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Donald Reed, 40, with theft of property.
Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said on Tuesday afternoon about 1:30 p.m. a White Hall Police Officer was sent to the Pizza Hut on Sheridan Road in response to a reported theft.
The regional manager reportedly told police she had talked to Reed who admitted that the deposits were not made at the bank and took full responsibility.
Reed said he would hire his own attorney and was told to come back to court March 21.
