Pine Bluff police are investigating a homicide that occurred yesterday afternoon.
At around 2:30 pm Monday, officers were dispatched to Iris Street and Howard Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they found 24-year-old Clifton McDowell lying in the street with apparent gunshot wounds. McDowell was transported to JRMC but died during surgery. The investigation is in the early stages, and there is no suspect information or motive.
