Metallica has shared the S&M2 version of “For Whom the Bell Tolls.”
S&M2 was recorded during the metal legends’ two concerts last September accompanied by the San Francisco Symphony. The “For Whom the Bell Tolls” performance is available now for digital download, and you can watch video of the rendition streaming now on YouTube.
Metallica has also released the S&M2 versions of “All Within My Hands,” “Nothing Else Matters” and “Moth into Flame.” The entire collection will arrive on August 28.
The S&M2 concerts had been the last shows Metallica played prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. They just recently recorded a new set that will be screened in drive-in theaters on August 29.
