Last month, Metallica shared an Instagram post cryptically hashtagged with #BlackAlbum2021. Now, they’re teasing it once again.

On Friday, the metal legends posted a video capturing a 1992 performance of “Wherever I May Roam,” one of the several hit singles off Metallica’s 1991 self-titled record, aka The Black Album. The post is tagged with #FBF — flashback Friday — and #BlackAlbum2021.

The first #BlackAlbum2021 post featured live footage of the Black Album closer “The Struggle Within,” from a 2012 live performance.

Being that The Black Album is hitting its milestone 30th anniversary this year, fans are speculating that #BlackAlbum2021 might be teasing a deluxe reissue, or perhaps even an anniversary tour.

The Black Album was first released August 12, 1991. The record’s been certified Diamond by the RIAA for over 10 million in sales, and broke Metallica into superstardom with singles including “Enter Sandman,” “Nothing Else Matters,” “The Unforgiven” and “Sad but True.”
