Metallica has confirmed the details of the band’s S&M2 box set, which will arrive on August 28.

The release documents the metal legends’ two shows last September accompanied by the San Francisco Symphony in various configurations, including a deluxe edition consisting of four vinyl LPs, two CDs and a Blu-ray disc, plus sheet music, a photo book, five guitar picks, a poster and a download card.

If that’s not enough for you, you can also grab the Super Deluxe Box edition, which consists of everything included in the regular deluxe edition, plus the original sheet music used during the concert and signed by the Metallica members. The Super Deluxe Box is limited to 500 copies, and is available exclusively through Metallica.com.

Before the box set arrives, you can check out the videos for the S&M2 performances of “Nothing Else Matters” and “All Within My Hands” streaming online now.

The S&M2 concerts were historic for a number of reasons. The shows marked the grand opening of the new Chase Center in San Francisco, as well as the 20th anniversary of Metallica’s 1999 live album S&M, which was also accompanied by the San Francisco Symphony.

Additionally, the S&M2 dates are the most recent concerts Metallica has played. Since then, they’ve had to postpone or cancel a number of dates, first due to frontman James Hetfield‘s return to rehab, and the as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
