A computer science teacher at McGehee High School has been named as a finalist for the 2021 Arkansas Computer Science Educator of the Year.

According to the McGehee Dermott Times-News Stacy Warf Reynolds teaches computer science and also coaches the robotics team.

The Arkansas Department of Education announced that Reynolds and four other teachers from across the state were selected as finalists for the award and each finalist will receive a $2,500 award from the department’s Office of Computer Science.

The winner will be announced later and will receive an additional $12,500, the newspaper said.
