In its first meeting on Saturday, Jan. 11, Mayor Vivian Flowers’ Transition Advisory Board convened to outline their roles in shaping the administration’s priorities for Pine Bluff’s future. The Board, representing diverse expertise and community engagement, invites Pine Bluff residents to actively participate in the transition process. Residents can apply for positions on the administration’s board committees via paper copy or weblink. Applications will be accepted January 13– January 23.
The Transition Advisory Board is organized into committees, each tasked with addressing a specific priority area under a designated leader. The committees and leadership assignments are as follows:

• Infrastructure & Economic Development – Leader: Tom Bennett
• Budget & Finance – Leader: Ted Davis

• Tourism & Nature – Leader: Carlton Saffa
• Social Impact & Sustainability – Leader: Kymara Seals
• Governance Transformation – Leader: Hank Wilkins, V
• Education & Workforce – Leader: Dr. Tyrone Jackson
• Youth Investment – Leader: Aareyon Wallace
• Senior Outreach & Advocacy- Leader: James Word
Residents are encouraged to bring their expertise, passion, and unique perspectives to these discussions.
The committees will work closely with city leaders and provide recommendations that reflect the diverse needs and aspirations of Pine Bluff residents.
How to Apply
Residents interested in serving on the transition committee are encouraged to apply by completing the online application form available on the City of Pine Bluff’s website at www.cityofpinebluff-ar.gov/boards-and-commissions. Paper applications are also available at the Mayor’s Office on the second floor of City Hall. All applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on January 23rd. Next Steps
Following the application period, committee members will be selected and announced the week of January 27th. The committees begin meeting shortly thereafter to help create recommendations culminating in a comprehensive report to guide the new administration.
