A Pine Bluff man previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery in May is facing a felony allegation after he was arrested Aug. 12 for allegedly slapping his girlfriend.

During a court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad said Kedrick Agee, 18, had a prior conviction for third-degree domestic battery on May 24.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Detective Sgt. Michael Roberts, Conrad said an officer was sent to 2700 E. Harding Ave. where the female victim said Agee had hit her in the mouth.

On Monday, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $1,080 bond for Agee on a misdemeanor domestic battery allegation because the felony paperwork had not been turned in and Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth continued that bond Tuesday.

Agee was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
