Pine Bluff Police Department officers were called to the Hwy. 65 South and Grider Field Road area for an accident that left a 59-year-old man dead Tuesday, according to the news release.
Police found a Chevy Malibu and a Waste Management Truck on the scene.
James Errickson of North Little Rock, the driver of the Malibu, was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Chief Coroner Eric Belcher.
His unidentified passenger was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
Authorities say a further investigation of the accident is pending with more information possibly released at a later time.
