A man died after being electrocuted at a cottonseed oil plant Monday in Pine Bluff, police reported.
Police and medical personnel were called about 9:43 a.m. to Planters Cotton Oil Mill at 2901 Planters Drive. An employee said Samson Staton, 62, and another worker had been changing switches in an electrical cage when “something happened” and Staton was fatally electrocuted, according to a police report.
The Jefferson County coroner’s office took possession of Staton’s body.
An investigation is ongoing.
