A Pine Bluff man was arrested Sunday after police found him and a female inside a business that had been closed for a year.

Brian Rosebeck, 38, who is on parole, told Detective Ryan Edwards that he and the female, his girlfriend, did not have anywhere to stay and said a friend told him they could stay in a trailer at 5711 Dollarway Road. He said the friend told him the trailer was unlocked and had lights and water.

During a court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Caleb Conrad said police were sent to 5711 Dollarway Road where the owner of the property had reported a burglary and said the back window glass had been broken. The owner also said the glass had not been broken the day before, and the business, formerly a car lot, had been closed for about a year.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $25,000 bond for Rosebeck after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with breaking or entering and first-degree criminal mischief. The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Rosebeck.
