A 3.7 magnitude earthquake happened at 1:42 am and was felt across much of Northern Arkansas. The epicenter of the earthquake was near the Marion and Baxter county line, 14 miles south of Mountain Home.

There has been reported light shaking with the earthquake, but no damage has yet been reported.

The last earthquake to happen in Arkansas was a 2.6 magnitude earthquake near Blytheville in November 2018.  According to the Arkansas Geological Survey,  this is the strongest earthquake in Arkansas since a magnitude 3.8 earthquake in Fairfield Bay in 2014.
