With the hot temperatures, the cooling bills for households in the Deltaplex have skyrocketed.
One local agency is trying to help curb those costs with through a government program called the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program is being utilized by the Central Delta Community Action Agency.

The LIHAP is income based and Brakebill outlined the payment structure.
