A Lonoke woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon.
According to a preliminary report, Sherri Bock, 61, was northbound on Chickory Lane near 196 Chickory when the 2019 Dodge Ram she was driving left the roadway to the right into a grassy field and continued through the grass until it hit a wooden power pole and then a tree.
The vehicle caught fire and Bock was trapped inside until the Cabot Fire Department was able to extinguish the blaze. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 4:36 p.m. and the death was the 121st so far this year on the state’s highways.
