Spradlin said police were sent to 25th Avenue and Maple Street to investigate a report that there was a dead body laying on the ground.

The affidavit did not identify the victim but members of the family identified his as Floyd Cornell Allen III, 14, of Pine Bluff.

During the course of the investigation, police received information that Ford was in Stuttgart.

Ford will be held without bond after District Judge Kim Bridgforth ruled prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with capital murder. He was told to come back to court Aug. 20.
