Officials with the Little Rock Zoo announced Tuesday that they will close two days a week for the winter season.
They will be closed every Tuesday and Wednesday starting Nov. 5 and they will last until February.
Officials say the decision to close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays is a result of the budget cuts made in Little Rock. They say the decision was based on attendance.
They say during those two days, they will be able to catch up on extra maintenance and other projects that are difficult to complete while guests are visiting.
