30-year-old Whitney Turner-Tyson of Little Rock was arrested Tuesday night in connection to the death of a 2-year-old child who was dropped out of a moving car on Interstate 30 in Saline County Tuesday morning.
Turner-Tyson is being held without bond in the Saline County jail on charges of capital murder, first degree battery and endangering the welfare of an incompetent person.
The investigation began when Arkansas State Police responded to a call on Interstate 30 West near Saline Memorial Hospital around 8:52 a.m. Tuesday when a motorist reported seeing a young child being dropped from a moving vehicle.
The child died at the scene while being attended to by Arkansas State Police troopers and medical professionals.
