At its final meeting of the year, the Lincoln County Quorum Court approved a more than $7 million budget for 2022.
According to the Lincoln Ledger newspaper, the County General budget was set at just over $2.966 million while the County Road budget was fixed at $2.178 million.
The newspaper also reported that County Judge Buddy Earnest said the County Annex building (the former Lincoln County Health Unit) will be torn down. He said the demolition would cost approximately $24,000 and the insurance will pay $35,000.
The price will include earing down the structure and the slab and resupporting the awning that connects the building and the Department of Human Services.
