On Tuesday, Lincoln County Judge Buddy Earnest was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show and discussed what was described as “a little drama at the transfer station.”
Earnest said the county is asking the State to issue a temporary permit and county officials expect to get a response to the request Tuesday or Wednesday. He went on to explain that the Count is designated as Class 4, meaning they can accept some things but not others.
Earnest said some members of the public are not happy about the current situation.
He is asking for patience while the county tries to resolve the permit situation.
