Lincoln County is yet another county in the Deltaplex area that is experiencing a lot of issues due to the ice storm, and County Judge Buddy Lynn Earnest told Deltaplex News that trees are falling “everywhere”.
Earnest said that crews have abandoned working on certain roads due to safety issues with trees and limbs falling all around them.
He also asked for citizens to stay at home if they do not have to get out and about due to the safety issues with trees falling, saying one car has already been crushed due to falling trees.
Earnest said his crews will have several days of work to do with cleanup efforts, and he is asking citizens to slow down when they see crews working due to issues they have already had with people not wanting to slow down.
