“Congratulations to one of the greatest in the game,” the organization said in an announcement tweet.

Lil Baby has written and contributed to some of the most popular and successful hip-hop songs, including “Girls Want Girls” by Drake, “Every Chance I Get” by DJ Khaled and his own record, “On Me.” His long-awaited third studio album is expected this summer.

“Speak to Me,” performed by Koryn Hawthorne and written by Johntá Austin and Jeremy TryBishop Hicks, is recognized as the Gospel Song of the Year. The 2020 hit song earned Hawthorne her second number-one single on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart.

The award for Rhythm & Soul Publisher of the Year goes to Sony Music Publishing, making the company’s third win at an ASCAP event this year.
