Kreutzer Earns Second Team All-SWAC Honors
NEW ORLEANS – The University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff baseball first baseman earned Southwestern Athletic Conference honors based on his play this season.
Kreutzer (6-4, 240; R-Jr., Westminster, Co.) was a second-team All-SWAC selection after leading the Golden Lions in batting average (.348/11th in SWAC), home runs (11/t-3rd in SWAC), and RBI (51/5th in SWAC) with a 1.077 OPS% (2nd in SWAC w/ .629 SLG%; 10th in SWAC w/.448 OBP%). Kreutzer had a pair of two-home run games this season, the first coming on the opening weekend vs. Florida A&M (solo homer to right in the second inning; a 2-run shot to left in the third inning). Last Tuesday at Memphis, Kreutzer launched a pair of solo home runs to center field in the fifth and eighth innings, respectively.
Kreutzer had at least one hit in 36 of 48 games this season, and led the team with 15 multi-hit games (eight 2-hit games, six 3-hit games, one 4-hit game) and 15 multi-RBI games (seven 2-RBI games, four 3-RBI games, three 4-RBI games, one 5-RBI game.) He also hit .363 in conference play with seven doubles, two home runs, and 19 RBI.
