Kenny Chesney’s next single, “Tip of My Tongue,” is coming on July 12, which he co-wrote with pop star Ed Sheeran.
According to a press release, Chesney’s frequent collaborator Ross Copperman — also a co-writer on the song — brought Sheeran into the mix. Chesney says of working with Sheeran: “The way creativity works in creative people is so different, but it’s always exciting.”
“Tip of My Tongue” will be Chesney’s first single from his forthcoming new album, co-produced by Buddy Cannon. Chesney’s first album with his new label Warner Music Nashville, called Songs for the Saints, dropped in July.
“Tip of My Tongue” is set to be released at 6AM ET on July 12.
