Saracen Cinema 8 was recently awarded a judgement against Pines Mall owner Judy Vu after being shut out of the theater by Vu.

In a Facebook post Chief Operating of Rain Investments, LLC, (Saracen Cinema 8) Steven B. Mays, Jr. stated Saracen Cinema 8 will be reopening very soon. Mays stated the theater temporarily closed as a direct result of Vu’s actions and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, Okorie Ezieme, the President & CEO of Rain Investments LLC, said “We have 35 years contract and additional 35 years with Vu. We have interest in the mall and he is very optimistic the mall will soon be in competent hands.”

In the Facebook post it was also stated that the Pines Mall has not been foreclosed on and alleges Vu “lied and deceived the mall tenants and the community to believing that the mall has been foreclosed.”

DeltaplexNews.com has checked into court records and learned that the Pines Mall is in the middle of foreclosure, and all utilities have been shut off to the building.

Additionally, Saracen Cinema 8 did in fact receive a judgement against Vu, however, the judgement will not allow them to continue to operate the business at the Pines Mall due to the foreclosure. The judgement only entitles the owners of Saracen Cinema 8 to retrieve property that they own that is inside of the cinema.

DeltaplexNews.com will have more on this story once more court records are received on this matter.
