Circuit judge for the 6th Division of the 11th Judicial District West, Earnest Brown Jr. has been nominated to the Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission.

Judge Brown Jr. along with Andrew Bailey, the 14th Judicial District Circuit Judge, are new members of the commission replacing Kirk Johnson and David Guthrie.

This commission recommends to the State Supreme Court whether to suspend, remove, or involuntarily return or censure judges. It foresees investigations that may take disciplinary action or in the most serious cases, recommend to the Supreme Court discipline for a judge whose actions are found to violate the code of Judicial Conduct.

Brown has just started his third six-year term as 6th Division Judge after being sworn into office in January of 2009.
