Pine Bluff City Councilwoman Joni Alexander announced her intentions to run for reelection on Oldies 101.3 FM in 2021, but has since had a change of heart.
Alexander rejoined the Oldies 101.3 FM morning show Wednesday morning to announce she will not run for reelection after all.
Alexander said that she believes she has accomplished a lot during her time on the City Council, and she still has more things she believes she can accomplish before her time is finished.
Alexander also said that with the new ward boundaries she believes some good candidates could now seek election for her spot on the Council.
She also stated that once her term is finished she will remain active within the City of Pine Bluff.
