A ribbon cutting and open house Thursday will introduce the new Jones-Dunklin Cancer Center at Jefferson Regional Hospital to the general public.

The Chamber of Commerce Redcoats will join hospital staff and board members in cutting the ribbon to officially open the facility.

On Thursday, Peter Austin, COO of the hospital, and Kathy Ross, the director of Oncology Services were guests on the Oldies 1013 morning show and Austin talked about the ribbon cutting.

Austin also talked about Ross and the role she has played in getting the center ready for operation.

Morning show host Greg Horne asked Ross what services the Jones-Dunklin Center will provide, and she answered this way.

Horne also asked if people will be able to tour the new center after the ribbon is cut.

Austin said the ribbon cutting will take place at 5 p.m. and “come and go” tours will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m.
