When Brian Thomas, the CEO of Jefferson Regional Hospital appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show about a year ago, he talked about the difficulty the hospital was having getting reimbursed from insurance companies and the government for the services that the hospital performed. In a recent appearance on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show, host Greg Horne asked Thomas if that was still the case.
Horne then said let’s just talk about government payments. Everybody has had to deal with inflation and prices going up, have the reimbursements from the federal government gone up over the same period of time?
Horne described health care costs as “frustrating,” saying that when you go into McDonald’s to get a coke, you know what you’re going to pay. When you buy a car, you know what you’re going to pay. With health care, you don’t know.
