Jefferson county has recorded its fourth death associated with the COVID-19 virus. The death is also the fourth this week.

Jefferson county Coroner Chad Kelley confirmed two additional deaths to DeltaplexNews.com Saturday.

The first death for Jefferson county was announced Tuesday by County Judge Gerald Robinson. Coroner Kelley confirmed the second death early Friday morning.

Information on the four deaths is as follows:

1. Date of Death: 04/04/2020. African American female at JRMC age range in her 60’s.

2. Date of Death: 04/09/2020 African American male at JRMC age range in his 40’s.

3. Date of Death: 04/09/2020 African American female at JRMC age range in her 80’s.

4. Date of Death: 04/10/2020 White female at JRMC age range in her 80’s.

As of Saturday morning the Arkansas Department of Health reports 1,226 confirmed cases of the virus, while 340 recoveries have been reported, along with 24 deaths.

Jefferson county has 91 confirmed cases, and four deaths.
