Jefferson County now has its 11th Coronavirus death after a nursing home patient has succumbed to the virus.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley confirmed one death to DeltaplexNews.com Sunday afternoon, and the second early Monday morning. Kelley confirmed the first victim was an African American male in his 90’s who passed away at the Waters of White Hall nursing home. Monday mornings victim was an African American female in her 80’s from the same nursing home.

This is the third COVID-19 death in the same nursing home in the past three days.

Jefferson county recorded nine Coronavirus deaths previous to these two deaths. Information on those deaths is as follows:

  1. Date of Death: 04/04/2020. African American female at JRMC age range in her 60’s.
  2. Date of Death: 04/09/2020 African American male at JRMC age range in his 40’s.
  3. Date of Death: 04/09/2020 African American female at JRMC age range in her 80’s.
  4. Date of Death: 04/10/2020 White female at JRMC age range in her 80’s.
  5. Date of Death: 04/13/2020 African American male at JRMC age range in his 70’s.
  6. Date of Death: 04/14/2020 White male at JRMC age range in his 70’s.
  7. Date of Death: 04/18/2020 White female at UAMS age range in her 50’s.
  8. Date of Death: 04/19/2020 White male at a nursing home age range in his 80’s.
  9. Date of Death: 04/24/2020 White male at a nursing home age range in his 70’s.
  10. Date of Death 04/26/2020 African American male at a nursing home age range in his 90’s.
  11. Date of Death 04/27/2020 African American female at a nursing home age range in her 80’s.
