Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson has issued a county-wide burn ban effectively immediately.

In a press release sent to Deltaplex News Robinson said the following:

“Due to the lack of needed precipitation, dry conditions exist all over Jefferson County. This increases the thread of fire danger tremendously. It is with this in mind that a burn ban has been reinstated for all of Jefferson County including the cities of Pine Bluff, White Hall, Humphrey, Sherrill, Altheimer, Wabasseka, and Redfield.

This burn ban is effective February 10, 2022 and will continue until further notice.”
