Jefferson County is undergoing many projects across the county creating a growth spurt that hasn’t been seen in over 25 years. Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson stated that in his third year as a judge his main focus is the buildings and infrastructure developments needed not only at the courthouse but other important developments for the county.

Chief of Staff with the County Judge office Pamela Jenkins explained the process leading up to this year’s renovations and new developments,

Since the start of Judge Robinson’s term, the county along with private and public sectors have invested over 500 million to help with the new infrastructures and renovations across the county. Judge Robinson mentioned this and further elaborated,

The construction all over the county inspires the community as well as sets the tone for the environment that Jefferson County wants to improve for residents and those that help develop the city. Improvements and buildings that are underway are set to finish up in the next 18 months.
