UPDATE: Deltaplex News has spoken with Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson for an update on the power outage in downtown Pine Bluff.
According to Judge Robinson, work had been completed and power has been restored to the downtown area.
Due to this, the Jefferson County Courthouse will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. The Judge is delaying the opening by two hours to give time for the courthouse to heat back up due to lack of power and heat in the building.

UPDATE: Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson has informed Deltaplex News that power is expected to be restored by 9 p.m. Monday night.
Should power be restored the Jefferson County Courthouse will reopen on Tuesday.

The Jefferson County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, Dec. 2 due to a power outage in downtown Pine Bluff that is plaguing several businesses in the area.
Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson spoke with Deltaplex News Sunday evening to discuss the closure.
Robinson added that Entergy has not given a time frame for how long it will take to correct the problem.
While Robinson has not spoken with Entergy himself, he said that Entergy has been in contact with other county officials and shared what has caused the outage.
Deltaplex News will provide an update when the courthouse is clear to reopen for business.
