Wednesday is United Way Day on Oldies 1013 Morning Show and Leslie Dorn joined with the CEO of one of their partner agencies, The Boys and Girls Club of Jefferson County, Tavante Calhoun Sr.
Host Greg Horne asked Calhoun, with school ending soon how will that affect the program and what are their summer plans. Calhoun said this.
Horne asked Calhoun about the demand of kids needing the services of the Boys and Girls Club.
Calhoun went on to explain the challenges the club faces and what they need to meet that demand.
Calhoun added that obtaining new facilities and financial assistance is an “ongoing process”.
