JCSO Captain Yohance Brunson and Sergeant Courtney Kelley recognized for helping apprehend bank robber

Captain Yohance Brunson and Sergeant Courtney Kelley from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received recognition from Pine Bluff Interim Police Chief Lloyd Franklin for their assistance in apprehending a suspect and recovering the money taken from the Oak Park Branch of Simmons Bank during a Wednesday morning robbery.

Captain Brunson and Sergeant Kelley apprehended 25-year-old Demetrius Nelson from White Hall, who is being held on charges of Aggravated Robbery and Theft of Property.

Nelson made it approximately three blocks away from the bank before he was apprehended for the robbery.
